The short version. fairyfox.io is a free, open-source documentation and project site provided as-is, with no accounts and no warranty. Use it lawfully, respect the open-source licenses, and understand that links out to other projects and third parties carry their own terms.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the fairyfox.io site (“the Site”, “we”, “us”) — the project hub and documentation library for 1fairyfox’s software work, served at fairyfox.io. By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site is provided free and as-is
The Site is offered free of charge for informational and reference purposes. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that the Site will always be available, accurate, complete, or up to date.
Open-source software and content
The Site’s code is open source; its license is stated in the project repository, and your use of the code is governed by that license. Documentation and written content on the Site are made available for reading and reference; the projects it links to each carry their own licenses and terms in their own repositories.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site to break the law, to attempt to disrupt or compromise the Site or its hosting, to gain unauthorised access to any system, or to misrepresent your affiliation with the project. Because the Site holds no accounts and no personal data, there is little to misuse — but automated abuse that degrades the service for others is not permitted.
Fairy Fox coins
The Site includes an optional reading-engagement feature (“coins”). Coins have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, or exchanged, and confer no rights or entitlements. They are a light, cosmetic reward stored only in your own browser and may be changed or removed at any time. Clearing your browser’s local storage resets them.
Third-party links and services
The Site links to other projects, repositories, and third-party services (such as GitHub, and the font and icon providers described in our Privacy Policy). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties, and following such links is at your own discretion under their terms.
No warranty
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Site changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
