Fairy Fox Stories · Legal
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2, 2026
The short version. These terms are for the Fairy Fox Stories collection. It’s a free, open-source set of short interactive stories, provided “as is” for you to enjoy. Play fair, don’t misuse the site, and don’t expect any warranty. That’s about it.
Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) before using Fairy Fox Games (“the Service”). The Service is a free, open-source collection of small browser games created by junebug12851 — one project within the wider Fairy Fox site — played on the web at fairyfox.io/fairyfox-stories/. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
The games are suitable for a general audience of all ages. There is no age restriction and no account is required to play.
Open-source license
Fairy Fox Stories is open-source software released under the MIT License. Your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute the source code are governed by that license, available in the project’s GitHub repository. These Terms govern your use of the Service as offered to you; they do not limit your rights under the open-source license.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal enjoyment, and not to:
- attempt to disrupt, overload, attack, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its hosting;
- misrepresent the Service or redistribute it in violation of its open-source license;
- use the Service to violate any applicable law or the rights of others.
Your scores and data
Your reading progress are stored in your own browser and belong to you — as explained in our Privacy Policy, we do not collect or store them. There are no leaderboards or online accounts; the challenge is simply to beat your own score.
Third-party services and links
The Service is served by third-party hosting (GitHub Pages) and may link to related Fairy Fox pages and to third-party sites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, availability, or practices of any third-party service. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that service’s own terms and privacy policy.
“As is” — no warranty
The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any game will meet your expectations. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
The Service is provided to you free of charge. To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will junebug12851 or any contributor be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if advised of the possibility. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to USD 100 or the amount you paid us for the Service (which is zero), whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless junebug12851 and the project’s contributors from any claims or demands arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party rights.
Availability and termination
The Service is offered on a best-effort basis and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the hosted website (or any game) at any time. Because the Service is open-source, you can continue to run your own copy regardless.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. By continuing to use the Service after changes take effect, you agree to the revised Terms.
