The short version. The Fairy Fox Games collection does not use cookies — none at all, and no tracking. It saves your best scores, reading/display preferences, and your just-for-fun Fairy Fox coins balance in your browser’s local storage so the games can remember them. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
This Cookies Policy explains how Fairy Fox Games (“the Service”) uses cookies and similar storage technologies. It applies to the games collection at fairyfox.io/fairyfox-games/, one project within the wider Fairy Fox site.
We do not use cookies
The Service sets no cookies. We use no analytics cookies, no advertising or remarketing cookies, no third-party tracking cookies, and no session cookies. Because there are no non-essential cookies, there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner to click through.
What we use instead: local storage
To remember your best scores and your reading and display preferences (the “Aa” reading menu’s theme, accent colour, text size, line spacing, and width) and your Fairy Fox coins balance (with a record of which pages you have opened today, used only to award coins), the games use your browser’s local storage. This is similar to a cookie in that it is saved in your browser, but unlike a cookie it is never automatically sent to any server — it simply lets a game show your best score, and the site remember how you like to read and how many coins you’ve earned, the next time you visit. The reading preferences and the coins balance are saved under shared keys so one choice or balance carries across the wider fairyfox.io site in the same browser. Coins are cosmetic, have no monetary value, and nothing in the games is gated behind them (see How coins work). This information stays on your device. We never receive it. Third-party requests
The Service serves its own fonts and does not load them from Google Fonts or any other third-party font service, so no font-related request leaves to a third party. The games embed no ad networks, analytics scripts, or social widgets. The only third party involved is our hosting provider (GitHub Pages), which processes basic request data to deliver the site, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Managing local storage
You can clear the data the Service stores at any time using the in-app controls — the “Aa” reading menu’s Reset and the coin panel’s Clear my data link — or by clearing your browser’s site data / local storage for the Service. Your browser’s help pages explain how (for example, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge). Note that clearing it also resets your saved best scores, preferences, and coins.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy as the Service changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If we ever introduce cookies or analytics, we will update this page first and obtain consent where the law requires it.
